Hello Forum Users
I am having problems playing FREE shows.
I have downloaded, from the website.
I have uncompressed the folder.
I have gone into the timeline window.
I have clicked 'file' and selected, open show, but, the software cannot see any files with an extension .shw.
Could somebody please explain what I am doing wrong.

Hi Guppy,
this has not yet been reported as an error, so let's make sure it's the right files you have.
Did you download the free shows for Showeditor or did you download those for Showcontroller?
Can you check in the extracted folders if they contain any files with the suffix .heb? If not, which filetypes do you find in those folders?
This should help narrow down where the problem may be.

the folder has lots of files mainly with the extension HEB, but I notice that there is one which has an extension SHW.
I downloaded both editor and controller.
I'm using the Editor software, and the Timeline option.
I'm clicking on file.
I'm then browsing to find the folder (with the downloaded files).
I'm sure the error is on my part, but not sure what I'm doing wrong.

OK, did you unzip the folder properly? You also need to either open the Timeline Window of the software or the Player to be able to load any shw file. you could also try the other way round and right-click the shw file and then select "open with ..." and there select teh Showeditor software.
