How to use Laserworld USB Interfaces with the new Laserworld Showeditor

It is possible to use older Laserworld USB Interfaces as SLAVE DACs with the Laserworld Showeditor. You'll need a valid Laserworld Showeditor License for doing so. A Laserworld Showeditor License is included in every Laserworld Showeditor SET.

So it is required to purchase a Laserworld ShowNET Interface with License to use older Laserworld USB DACs.

Follow these steps to use older Laserworld USB Interfaces with the Laserworld Showeditor:

If you are using Windows 8, 8.1 or 10, you must follow this insctruction first:

Before beginning with the installation, save your work and close all open windows.

  1. Press "Windows-Button + R"
  2. Type shutdown.exe /r /o /f /t 00 in the opening "run"-window.
  3. Click "OK"
  4. Windows will restart and now shows the "Options menu"
  5. Click "Troubleshoot"
  6. Then click "Advanced options" on the new window
  7. Now click „startup settings“ on the new window
  8. Press „reboot“ on the new window
  9. Windows will restart and now you can choose between various options which can be entered by pressing the respective number key. Click the number key for "Disable driver signature enforcement"
  10. After another restart, you will be able to install the Laserworld USB Interface driver

After following the steps above or when you are using Windows 7 or lower, follow this instruction:

  1. Install the USB driver for the Laserworld USB interface (as seen above)
  2. Install Showeditor
  3. Install the ShowNET Interface (How to install the ShowNET interface)
  4. Run Showeditor
  5. A message appears, telling you the dongle key of your Laserworld USB is not suitable for this software. Click on OK, then...
  6. ... a request appers, if this message should appear again. Click on NO.
  7. Showeditor will run as usual and both interfaces can be used together. If the error report ever appears again, the ShowNET interface with the Showeditor license might not be installed properly.
