Set the scan speed and frame rate for the SD-Card player in the Laserworld ShowNET interface

To set the scan speed and the frame rate for the SD-card playback system in the Laserworld ShowNET interface, please download the ShowNET Admin Tool.

  1. Connect the Laserworld ShowNET over LAN, make sure it is properly connected (if you're unsure or things don't work, please see this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vFmRvioOheg)
  2. Wait about 20 seconds for the ShowNET interface to being recognizeable
  3. Open the Laserworld ShowNET Admin Tool you have downloaded from here: https://www.showeditor.com/en/downloads/hardware-related/download/10-hardware-shownet-interface-dac/86-laserworld-shownet-hardware-admin-tool.html
  4. If the ShowNET interface is properly connected, the Admin Tool automatically detects the interfaces in the network:

  5. Switch to the tab "DataSet". The options for setting the scan speed as well as the frame rate can be found there. Important: These settings only affect the SD-card playback feature and do not affect the general output of the interface over ILDA!
Do not overdo with scan speed here, as it can damage the scanners of your laser system!

  6. Click "Store Data" and follow the further instructions.

Important notice, again: Do not set scan speed and frame rate too high - it can damage or even destroy the scanners of your laser system!

It is sometimes smarter to improve the laser figures by reducing the points to be drawn and do general frame improvements, rather than pushing the scan speed too hard.
