Error 6 trying to start Showeditor was created by s.aldenhoven
I ordered 2 laserprojectors and in anticipation of their delivery I wanted to test the Showeditor software.
I downloaded Showeditor V7.1.N version on the laserworld website. After installing this version I tried to start it. After setting the language to english the program presents a popup window in german saying: "Fehler # 6 in frmHaubt TestbildLaden" with gives me the option to retry or cancel. I clicked retry at least 30 times with no resolve. Clicking cancel shuts down Show editor.
I have tried a lot of things but I have not found a solution yet.
The most extensive thing I tried was to:
Step 1 - uninstall Showeditor.
Step 2 - deleted the following folders:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Showeditor_V7\
C:\Users\<username>\Documents\Showeditor_V7\
C:\ProgramData\Showeditor_V7\
Step 3 - reboot the system
Step 4 - Install Showeditor V7.1N again
Step 5 - Started Showeditor and answered the questions for language "english", no updates and use opengl
But after closing the window informing that Showeditor is running in freeware-mode a few seconds later the "Fehler # 6" window appears again.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!!!!
This is on Windows 10 version 21H1 build 19043.1526 in dutch/nederlands

Hello...
oh.... cracy... i had the same error a view days ago... hmmm.
fast fix:
Search the Folder:
c:\programData\Showeditor_V7\Testbilder
and delete the file Tschosef_Test_Immage.bin
then search the folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Showeditor_V7\TestBilder
and delete also here the file Tschosef_Test_Immage.bin
then retry to start the software....
in my case, this file was damaged, but i do not know the reason for this....
If this do not help, you also can delete (Copy into a other folder) all files from the folders "TestBilder" (both Folders!! )
Best regards
Erich
