colors for china sd card laser was created by DJ Matralla
im trying to change the color of an IDLA animation for my EMMA rgb220. however colors only come out as white. I have tried importing the idla and immediately exporting it without modifying anything (one with and without optimization) and it changes all colors to white. i have the Idla color byte order set to rgb and the intensity set to brightest color in the options. and how would my laser work with the interface in a live scenario? do i need to use a specific color?

Hi,

the ILDA files used in many of the cheaper lasers do not comply with the latest RGB standard, but use old-type color tables instead.
Normally you can still use these ILDA frames and can also preserve the colors.
Try this:
- create a new figure
- import the ilda file
- switch the color table by "Load Pangolin Color Table" (it's in the menu Color-Table)
- open "Windows"-> "Special Features"
- move between the frames or otherwise make sure the colors change (may not do directly on change, probably needs moving to another frame of the animation (if it's one))
- click on "Change colors to HE-Colortable values"
- export to ILDA.

This should do the job.

Remember to select the correct ILDA output format - there are different ones available, each with different structure. For cheaper lasers it usually is the format "6" (which is no real ILDA standard, but custom made to work for most of the cheaper units)
